DAILY POST - SOME IMPORTANT DEBATES
Hello everyone! I would actually like to address some important debates. I think I am going to start doing three different ones each day. So today lets start with these three questions. Please give your input in the comments below
1. Coke or Pepsi?
2. Is a hotdog a sandwich?
3. Does a straw have one hole or two?
I would really appreciate if people comment below and participate in any of these questions, or even all three! I think it could make for some fun debates.

1 - Pepsi
2 - Well by the USDA definition of a sandwich is a filling between two slices of bread, a bun, or a biscuit. So if you went by those terms then yes a hot dog would be consider a sandwich, BUT that's not really the best definition of a sandwich because if we go by those terms then something like a grill cheese sandwich or any sandwich with vegetables but no meat, would not be consider a sandwich. If we also go by
the Department of Taxation and Finance, Tax Bulletin ST-835 "What is considered a sandwich?" "Made on bread or on bagels, on rolls, in pitas in wraps or otherwise and regardless of the filling or number of layers" Then a hot dog would still be considered a sandwich right? Well yes, but by those terms a burrito would also be considered a sandwich, the same goes to pizza, and chicken wings. BUTTTT the Merriam Webster Dictionary describes a sandwich as "two thin pieces of bread, usually buttered with a thin layer(as of meat, cheese, or savory mixture) spread between them" SO a hotdog would not be considered a sandwich here becausea hotdog does not have two thin pieces of bread it has one and that bread is typically not buttered, and the meat in a hod dog is not thin, its tubular, and the hotdog meat does not get spread between the bread. So my answer is no, a hotdog is not a sandwich
3 - 1 hole because a straw is topologically the product of a circle, which has 1 hole, and an interval, which has 0 holes. So the straw has 1 hole. A straw is topologically equivalent to S1 × [0, L], where S1 is the unit circle and L is the length of the straw. ALSO a circle has 1 hole the simple closed curve contains a 2-dimensional hole inside of it. Adding depth does not increase the number of holes.

1.Coke, 2.no,3. Mathematically, yes. Because a straw is topologically similar to a torus. This means a straw has just only one long hike, and if you were to compress the straw it would look like donut, wich we know has one hole

1. Coke or Pepsi?Pepsi, Wild cherry if I'm being specific!
2. Is a hotdog a sandwich?Technically it could be considered an open face sandwhich, you know like roast beef!
3. Does a straw have one hole or two?I'd reckon it has two openings, one hole!

@Trinity2000 it's one continuous hole lmao, if the answer is two then where does one hole end and the other begin?

If a straw only had 1 hole you can not drink through it. It being hollow is irrelevant. Seal up a hole and let us know how that works out for you.
